Something different for the discerning clubbers of Hull, bringing some diverse dancefloor vibes to the city
Boss of the unstoppable Jalapeno Records (home to Smoove & Turrell, Kraak & Smaak, The Allergies and many more) Trevor Mac has been DJing since the very early 90s. A disciple of Brighton’s Tonka, his taste is rooted in danceable eclecticism – from soul, funk and disco to house, garage and old school rave, there’s never a dull moment on the dancefloor. Having regularly performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, Wilderness, Bestival, The Big Chill and more he’s a seasoned veteran when it comes to making feet move. It’s his first time DJing in the city so let’s give him a warm welcome.
Resident Jon Sheppard is a Hull native, but having lived in London for the last 25 years he’s been involved in so many labels, festivals and club nights its hard to keep count. Running his own NICE UP! label focuses on dancehall, jungle and dubstep but he’s a massive fan of disco, boogie, house and all things funky, as his bulging vinyl collection would attest. With clubs such as Fabric, The End and Ministry Of Sound calling on his talents its safe to say Shep can turn a party out.
